A while back I got a message from Blogger saying my blog had been locked. Apparently, they somehow got suspicious that this might be a "spam" blog created by a phantom Internet company or otherwise not-real person. I had to fill out some verification forms and wait for a blog review for them to determine that I am a real live mom with a real live blog! Whew! Glad I passed!!
Anyway, it's been a busy few weeks at the Broullire household. This past weekend, we went to Wauwatosa for my niece Clara's first birthday party. She did a wonderful job of smashing her birthday cake, as you can see from the picture. Atta girl!
My new position as publicity chair for the Green Bay chapter of Mothers & More is turning out to be a bit more than I initially bargained for -- I think. I'm trying to make sure I'm doing a good job of promoting the organization (a truly worthwhile group!) with some uniformity across the region. And I'm also looking for new ideas to get the word out. Exhausting!
I've also been crazy busy trying to promote the new MomsLikeMe site. We did the Taste of Home cooking show expo last week, and I met with some Oshkosh area moms on Saturday. I know that when you are trying something new, 90 percent of the effort and energy is expended in just getting off the ground. But dear lord! Can somebody please give these projects a boost?
That's it for now -- need to spend some quality time with my kids tonight. But it's good to be back blogging again!
